David T. Anderson
Dave is a shareholder at Kennedy & Graven and practices in the area of general municipal law, specializing in real estate and development work. Dave provides counsel to dozens of cities and other public entities throughout Minnesota. Dave is city attorney for the cities of Baudette, Carver, Clearwater, Franklin, Holdingford, Maple Lake, Medina, Nevis, Wahkon, and White Bear Lake. Dave also serves as development counsel for the city of Woodbury.
Prior to joining Kennedy & Graven, Dave was a prosecuting attorney in the Sherburne County Attorney’s Office. Dave received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and later graduated cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. While in law school, Dave was a recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award and named to the Dean's Honor Roll every semester. He also served as editor of the Hamline Journal of Law & Religion and both editor and board member of the Hamline Law Review. Following law school, Dave clerked for the Honorable Christian S. Wilton in Minnesota’s First Judicial District.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys coaching his sons' hockey and baseball teams and spending time with his family in northern Minnesota.
